We offer our clients luxurious, tranquil surroundings in our Grade II Listed building and have a warm and welcoming team to give you a unique hair and beauty experience every time.
The Hair Team...
“Hairdressing is something I was born to do. My biggest passion is to give every client that individual styling service. 20 years on still having that drive to make my clients look and feel fab!”
Kim 'Nikki' Swarbrick
“I love nothing more than helping people to feel good about themselves whilst keeping their hair in the best possible condition. When I perform a technical service on a client, I always treat not only the hair but the client too and like nothing more than someone leaving us with a big smile on their face.”
“Claire joined Utopia March 2007, in her words ‘9 years, 1 week and 5 days ago… and counting!’ This really rather sums her up. Claires precision and attention to detail is second to non. Claire thrives off satisfied customers, working with excellent products and the odd glass of rose but not at the same time! According to her, she also loves working with a lovely team in a fab salon and no, we have not paid her to say this!”
Hannah Joined Utopia in August 2013, is now in the salon as our stylist! “I just knew that I wanted to something art based and creative, so here I am, hairdressing chose me and I love it. I especially love prom season with all the party hair.”
“My enthusiasm and passion for hairdressing has grown stronger and stronger over the past 25 years. I welcome every client as a friend, not just a client, and knowing that they leave the salon feeling just a little bit fantastic puts a huge smile on my face, and thats why I still love my job.”
Hair by Emma Thomas
“I always wanted to play with hair as a little girl and loved my girls world! This is obviously where my passion comes from. Its funny that after all these years the love of the job never dies. I feel very blessed that I have had the opportunity to make people feel special about themselves.”
The Beauty Team...
Simply Sirens Nail Care
After using Calgel for the last 17 years on her own nails and being so impressed by the products, Nicki wanted to share her secret weapon to amazing looking nails and decided to qualify as a Calgel technician. “My goal is to make certain that ladies leave me feeling confident and happy with beautiful nails.”
Beauty by Leanne
“I became a Beauty therapist in 2006, I love all aspects of Beauty, meeting new people and seeing my clients leave the salon happy and relaxed after they have had a pamper. When I am not in the Salon I am with my family and children.”
Semi-permanent make up, acupuncture & massage
“I have worked in the health and beauty industry for more than five years. I was awarded a bachelors of science (BSc) with honours in Acupuncture at University of Lincoln, I was also given the opportunity to experience alternative approaches to health and wellbeing while travelling in Asia. Since my return to the UK I completed formal training in semi-permanent make up procedures at the highly renowned Tracie Giles IndelibeLiner Training Academy London.”
“Being a nurse Nurse Practitioner in a hospital is a completely different environment to working in a beauty salon, I enjoy it as it makes me see a different side to my job and get to see how happy people are once their treatment is complete, it really makes my job worthwhile.”
